Types of fencing
Featheredge
We specialise in featheredge, also known as closeboard.
Custom built on site, it's the strongest, best looking and most traditional fence.
All timber is pressure treated and all fixings are galvanised to resist corrosion.
Like panel fencing, it can be built using concrete or timber posts.

Picket fencing
Picket, or palisade fencing is often used in front gardens where it is important to create an 'open' effect.
We supply and build pressure treated and also smooth planed (PAR) picket fencing.
Acoustic fencing
These highly effective fences are becoming more common to shield gardens from the noise of roads, railways and schools.
Trellises
These are used where extra privacy is required, but they still allow light into a garden.
Trelisses are particularly useful in smaller plots or where it is not desirable to increase the height of a solid fence.
We supply trellises off the shelf and to order.
Gates
We supply and hang wooden and steel gates of any size.
Abbey Fencing can help with the smallest of front garden gates to double driveway gates, in steel, or timber.
Please ask about our made to measure service.
Brickwork & walls
Our bricklayers are as at home laying antique London stocks as they are with modern concrete blocks.
We build boundary walls, retaining walls, raised beds and brick steps.
